Cheryl Walsh joined Burch & Cracchiolo after owning one of Arizona’s preeminent strategic marketing, public relations and crisis communications firms.  For nearly 20 years, Cheryl worked with professionals, businesses and non-profit organizations across Arizona and nationally to increase brand awareness, build effective marketing strategies and mitigate damage in the face of crises.  She has worked with clients on crisis communications strategies and implementation for political, criminal, litigation, bankruptcy and personnel matters involving internal and external damage control with employees, shareholders, lenders and media.  Cheryl has worked closely with lawyers to assist with witness preparation, mock trials, lobbying support and other legal matters to represent clients more effectively.  Cheryl continues this work with Burch & Cracchiolo clients while also representing clients in issues related to gaming and default servicing.  She is also a trained mediator with emphasis on divorce and business dispute resolution.

In addition to her legal practice, Cheryl serves as the Client Relationship Manager, monitoring client relations to ensure efficient and effective service and superior client satisfaction.  Her responsibilities include leading the firm’s marketing, community outreach and business generation efforts.  She is actively involved in developing relationships with other professionals and businesses to provide additional value to the firm’s clients.

Prior to law school, Cheryl was a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young), providing both audit and tax services in her home state of West Virginia and surrounding areas.  Her financial background is invaluable to her clients in all areas of her practice, particularly in divorce property allocations, will and trusts and complex business transactions and disputes.

Cheryl has been an active member of the community throughout her career.  She has served on numerous boards and has been honored three times as a finalist for the Athena Award, the highest honor for a woman in business in the Valley.  She has received the Girl Scout World Award, the National Association of Women Business Owners’ Business Woman of the Year Award and the Arizona Business Magazine’s Giving Back Award.  Her company received the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year award for Community Service.
