Susan Dana-Kobey practices in areas of construction and general liability litigation in Arizona and California. Her practice focuses on civil litigation matters, representing clients in cases involving serious personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, negligence, premises liability and construction matters. She has served as lead counsel for construction industry clients in multi-million dollar residential and commercial litigation matters for numerous developers, general contractors and subcontractors in complex litigation matters. Susan’s clients include individuals, insured parties and self-insured companies in both Arizona and California. Her practice area also includes insurance coverage matters. Prior to joining Burch & Cracchiolo, she practiced law in Southern California where she focused on insurance coverage litigation. Susan also represents clients in personal matters with emphasis on child and adult adoption, child custody, property division, and marriage dissolution.
Susan is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and has also worked as a Spanish translator in the telecommunications industry. Her proficiency in Spanish led Susan to volunteer by assisting Spanish speaking individuals at the Family Court Facilitator’s Office in Orange County, California. While in law school, she clerked for the Hon. David Weinberg in the Orange County Superior Court, Lamoreaux Justice Center, Family Law Division.
In 2013, Susan participated as one of 24 attorneys in a year-long inaugural program sponsored by the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel entitled “Ladder Down” through the AADC’s Women’s Initiative to promote Leadership Empowerment, Business Development, Marketing and Mentoring for emerging leaders among women attorneys in our community.
