Kids Experience Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day at Burch & Cracchiolo

Published on in News Articles

On Thursday, April 25th, fourteen members of employee families spent the day at Burch & Cracchiolo, P.A. participating in Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day learning about a career in law. The day included a welcome by Managing Partner, Ed Bull, presentations by attorneys Tonya MacBeth and Brian Greathouse, nurse paralegal, Amy Bruder, legal assistant Michelle Mercure and network administrator, Kathy Stoner. The kids talked about their education and career aspirations and learned how a law degree interects with all aspects of business and life. The kids and parents took a field trip to the courtroom of Judge Bill Brotherton of the Arizona Superior Court. Judge Brotherton reviewed the various parts of the courtroom and explained some of the proceedings in a criminal trial.

Marking the 20th anniversary, the program began on a national basis in 1993. The theme for 2013 is “Work in Progress” as participation continues to foster curiosity and incentivize higher education to attain career and life goals. In addition, the kids will have an opportunity to ask questions on a one-to-one basis and experience first-hand a day in the life of a lawyer, paralegal or legal assistant.
