Sorensen has been named one of the “Top 25 Women Attorneys in Arizona” by Southwest Super Lawyers. Sorensen was also named to the prestigious list in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Sorensen has been selected as a Southwest Super Lawyer for nine consecutive years beginning in 2011.
Sorensen’s practice focuses on providing mediation services for both plaintiffs and defendants that encompass a deep understanding of the concerns of each side, and the skills necessary to bring cases to a satisfactory conclusion. She was recently named “Mediator of the Year” by Attorney at Law magazine.
Sorensen has been certified by the State Bar of Arizona as a specialist in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death law due to her nearly three decades of litigation experience for both insurance companies and plaintiffs in both state and federal court. She also handles aggravated liability and damages matters, including Federal Motor Carrier (trucking accident) cases, vehicular products liability matters, construction site injury and death matters, and premises liability cases. She has been recognized among Arizona's Finest Lawyers and currently serves as a member of the Arizona State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, the committee responsible for conferring certification status in the area of Personal Injury and Wrongful Death law.
Sorensen received her B.S. in business/economics from Westminster College in 1981 and her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 1984. She is licensed to practice law in Arizona and California.
